Frequently Asked Questions
What makes a probe bag different from a clinical waste bag?+

Probe bags are for transporting reusable instruments to reprocessing, not for waste disposal. Blue colour distinguishes from yellow clinical waste bags. Do not use probe bags for waste disposal.

Can this bag hold sharps?+

No. Use approved rigid sharps containers for needles, blades, and other sharps. This bag is for non-sharp reusable instruments only.

How should the bag be sealed for transport?+

Tie with a gooseneck twist or approved ties. Heat sealing is compatible with the LDPE material if your facility uses it.

Is this bag autoclavable?+

Standard LDPE is not autoclavable. The bag is intended for transport only, not for sterilisation with the instrument. Transfer instruments from the bag to appropriate sterilisation trays at the reprocessing point.

What is your lead time for orders?+

We dispatch from our Sydney warehouse within 1 to 2 business days. Most NSW orders arrive within 2 to 3 business days.
