Description

Light barrier paper is designed to recycle just like plain paper, so it is straightforward for consumers and businesses to dispose of. They simply put it in with their kerbside and office paper recycling.

It is built on Hydropol, a water-soluble (PVOH) coating. The coating dissolves during the paper recycling process, then breaks down in wastewater treatment leaving no microplastics. Full fibre yield is recovered with no macro stickies and no coarse or fine rejects.

Frequently asked questions

How is it recycled?

Place it in your standard kerbside or office paper recycling. The Hydropol coating dissolves during repulping and breaks down in wastewater treatment, leaving no microplastics.

Is it compostable?

These papers are designed for paper recycling, not composting. Recyclability is the benefit, so dispose of them with your paper stream.

What barrier does the light grade give?

A light barrier suited to pillow packs, e-commerce, dry pet food and plain chocolate. If your product needs a higher oxygen or moisture barrier, ask us about the medium, Coex or metallised grades.

Can I get it printed and made up?

Yes. These papers can be supplied as the substrate for your custom-printed flexible packaging, a recyclable barrier structure with your branding.

Can I get samples?

Yes. Request samples and a quote and we will recommend the right grade for your product.
