What to expect

Custom printing is a considered purchase rather than an off-the-shelf one. Allow twelve weeks. Minimum order quantities vary by product and we confirm yours when we quote. Setup cost varies with the complexity of the design and the number of colours, so a single colour job costs considerably less to set up than a full colour one, and unit price is driven by volume. If you need packaging sooner than twelve weeks, it is worth checking our stock range first.

Frequently asked questions

What artwork do you need from me?

Whatever you have. A logo file, a sketch, an existing label or a photograph of your current packaging is enough to start. We prepare the print-ready design ourselves, including colour matching and file setup.

How many colours can I print?

Up to six colours on our flexographic lines, which covers bags, liners, film and most paper and board products. Up to eight colours plus spot UV on rotogravure, used for laminated pouches and barrier structures.

How long does a custom printed order take?

Allow twelve weeks. Custom printing involves artwork preparation, plate or cylinder making, proofing and a dedicated production run, so it takes longer than ordering from stock.

What is the minimum order?

Minimums vary by product because custom printing requires a dedicated production run. Request a quote and we will confirm the figure for your product.

What does setup cost?

Setup covers preparing the printing plates or cylinders and varies with the complexity of the design and the number of colours. We quote it per job.

Can you print water-soluble bags?

Yes. Printed identification is available on our dissolvable laundry bags, bin liners, singlet bags and flat bags, which helps staff distinguish between bag types in use.

Do I see a proof before production?

Yes. Nothing is printed until you have approved a proof.

Can I have a custom size as well as custom print?

Yes, on any range made from film or paper. See our custom sizes page and tell us both requirements when you enquire so we can quote them together.
