Staff place the sealed bag into tubs or hand it to couriers without risk of contamination, moisture damage or handling errors. The green colour coding supports rapid visual sorting based on your facility's protocols.

Visual Verification

Green film provides instant visual identification during collection, sorting, transport and lab receipt. The printed biohazard symbol and clear instructions support accreditation needs and ensure specimens are processed according to facility-specific colour-coding systems.

FAQs

Does the document pocket prevent leaks?

The separate document wallet isolates paperwork from the specimen area, preventing contamination and moisture damage.

What containers fit the bag?

The 260 × 160 mm size fits common vials, tubes and containers used in pathology collection.

Is the biohazard symbol clearly visible on green film?

Yes, the printed biohazard symbol and text provide clear contrast against the green background for easy identification.

How secure is the grip seal lock?

The press seal closure holds specimens securely during short haul transport between collection points and laboratories.

How many bags come in each pack?

Each pack contains 100 bags. Cartons contain 1,000 bags (10 packs of 100).

Why choose green specimen bags over clear, blue or yellow bags?

Green bags are ideal for facilities using colour-coded specimen systems to identify different locations, testing departments or specimen types. Many operations use green for specific departments, speciality testing or particular collection sites. The colour coding reduces sorting errors and speeds up specimen processing.

Can I use green bags for the same specimens as clear bags?

Yes, green specimen bags have the same design, material quality and compliance standards as clear bags. The only difference is the colour, which you can adapt to your facility's specific workflow needs.

What's the difference between green specimen bags and green tearline specimen bags?

Both are green colour-coded bags with the same dual pouch design. The tearline version includes a perforated tear strip feature for quick opening, while the standard green bag uses the standard grip seal closure throughout. Choose tearline bags for workflows requiring rapid specimen access, or standard green bags for secure transport-focused workflows.

Can I order multiple colours for a comprehensive colour-coding system?

Yes, Zeropac offers specimen bags in clear, green, blue, yellow, purple (cytotoxic) and red (urgent) to support comprehensive colour-coded workflows tailored to your facility's operational requirements.

Perfect for: Multi-site healthcare facilities, hospitals with colour-coded protocols, pathology labs processing specimens from multiple departments, speciality testing centres, facilities requiring visual differentiation systems.

Colour Coding Standard: Green for location-specific, department-specific or test-specific identification based on facility protocols.
