 Frequently Asked Questions
What specimens can go in these bags?+

Use these bags for tissue samples, biopsies, and pathology specimens exposed to chemotherapy or cytotoxic medications. This includes tumor samples, surgical biopsies from cancer patients, and specimens collected during chemotherapy administration. Do not use for standard pathology specimens without cytotoxic exposure.

How does the three-wall construction work?+

The specimen container sits in an inner purple pouch. This pouch is then placed in a clear outer pouch, creating three layers of protection. The clear outer layer allows label verification without opening the bag, while the purple inner layer provides leak protection and cytotoxic identification.

 Are these bags leak-proof?+

The three-wall construction provides excellent leak protection if specimen containers crack or leak. Always ensure specimen containers are properly sealed and upright. The bags are designed to contain minor leaks during transport, but all specimens should be in appropriate leak-proof containers first.

Can I write on these bags?+

The clear outer pouch accepts marker pen for additional labeling. However, place all primary specimen labels on the specimen container itself, not on the bag. The three-wall design allows label verification through the clear outer layer without opening.
