LDPE vs HDPE Clinical Waste Bags+
Feature LDPE (this product) HDPE
Flexibility High flexibility, conforms to bin shape More rigid, holds shape
Puncture Resistance Higher puncture resistance Good tear resistance
Feel Softer, quieter to handle Crinkly, rustles during handling
Best For Mixed waste with irregular shapes, bulky items Lightweight waste, high-volume applications
Recycled Content 50% recycled content available Virgin material

Choose LDPE when: You handle mixed clinical waste with bulky or irregular items, need quiet operation in patient areas, want recycled content for sustainability goals, or require higher puncture resistance for demanding waste streams.

Choose HDPE when: You process high volumes of lightweight waste, prefer a stiffer bag that holds its shape in the bin, or need cost-effective options for general clinical waste.

 Frequently Asked Questions
What type of waste can I put in this bag?+

This bag is designed for general clinical waste including used PPE, wound dressings, bandages, gloves, gowns, and other non-sharps contaminated items. Do not use for cytotoxic waste, anatomical waste, sharps, or radioactive materials. These waste streams require specific bags with appropriate identification.

Will this bag fit my 120 litre clinical waste bin?+

Yes. The 1200 x 800 mm dimensions are designed to fit standard 120 litre clinical waste bins with overhang for secure fastening. The flexible LDPE material conforms to different bin shapes and styles commonly used in Australian healthcare facilities.

Does the recycled content affect bag performance?+

No. The 50% recycled LDPE content maintains the same puncture resistance, flexibility, and durability as virgin material bags. You get the environmental benefit of recycled content without compromising clinical waste containment performance.

How should I seal the bag for collection?+

Tie the open top securely using a gooseneck twist or approved cable ties before collection. Ensure the bag is no more than three-quarters full to allow proper closure. Follow your facility's clinical waste handling procedures for collection and transport.

What is your lead time for orders?+

We dispatch from our Sydney warehouse within 1-2 business days for in-stock items. Transit time depends on your location. Most NSW orders arrive within 2-3 business days. For volume orders or custom requirements, contact us for specific lead times.
