Pre-dose. Seal. Drop the sealed bag straight into the mixer — it dissolves completely, leaving zero plastic behind. Zeropac's dissolvable cement-additive bag lets batching plants and construction crews pre-measure the exact additive dose into a strong PVOH flat bag, seal it, and throw the whole unopened bag into the running concrete mixer. The bag dissolves at 40°C as the mixer turns, releasing the additive evenly with no residue, no microplastics and no worker contact with chemicals.
PVOH film is around three times stronger than standard LDPE plastic, so bags stay intact through storage and transport, yet dissolve cleanly once they hit warm water in the mixer. Held in our Sydney warehouse for fast Australian delivery.
Workers never open containers, scoop powder or breathe dust. Additives stay sealed until they dissolve inside the mixer — less chemical contact and lower WHS risk at the point of use.
Each bag holds the same pre-measured dose, so every batch is consistent. No spills from torn paper bags, no over- or under-dosing, and fewer batches failing spec.
Add cement, add water, drop in the sealed bag — the mixer does the rest. No opening, measuring or cleaning up spills between batches.

Yes. The bag dissolves completely at 40°C during the mixing cycle, releasing the additive evenly. No plastic film remains in the finished mix, and PVOH leaves no residue and no microplastics.
The bag needs water above 40°C to dissolve. During mixing, the mechanical action and heat generated typically reach this temperature, so the bag dissolves within standard mixing time regardless of ambient conditions. For very cold pours, contact our Sydney team to confirm the best approach for your mix.
The bags suit powdered and granular additives including plasticisers, accelerators, retarders and air-entraining agents. The PVOH film provides a moisture barrier in storage and dissolves reliably during mixing. For liquid additives, contact Zeropac to discuss compatibility.
No. The film only dissolves in sustained warm water above 40°C. Ambient humidity and rain won't break it down. Keep pre-filled bags in dry storage away from standing water. Stored cool and dry, unfilled bags have a shelf life of five years or more.
Fill using your existing additive-handling equipment, then fold-close or heat-seal the open end. Use an impulse or continuous heat sealer set lower than for polyethylene. Most operations pre-fill in batches ahead of time. Contact Zeropac for sealing guidance.
